Mexico Condemns Border Patrol Shooting

Mexico's president apparently questioned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the shooting of an illegal attempting to sneak across the border.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon apparently confronted U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the shooting death of a Mexican by a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

Calderon released the news via his Twitter account. Both leaders were in Guatemala for a summit earlier this week.

"In Guatemala I protested to Secretary Clinton about the death of the Mexican in Tijuana," according to the Calderon tweet sent Wednesday night. "I demanded punishment for those responsible."

The shooting occurred after three men crawled through a sewage-crusted drain and jumped the border fence to get into San Diego, Calif. The Border Patrol agents who encountered them captured one of the men. The agents were apparently then pelted by rocks and sticks. In response, an agent shot one of the rock-throwers in the head, a fatal wound that knocked him off the fence and back into Mexico.
