Retired Cops Tackle Yemeni Man Mid-Flight

Rageh Almurisi went into a rage on American Airlines Flight 1561 and began yelling unintelligibly. A retired U.S. Secret Service agent and retired San Mateo cop wrestled Almurisi to the ground, and a flight attendant slapped on plastic handcuffs.

A Yemeni man was tackled by two retired law enforcement officers helping flight attendants, after he pounded on the cockpit door during a flight from Chicago to San Francisco on Sunday.

Rageh Almurisi, 28, went into a rage on American Airlines Flight 1561 and began yelling unintelligibly.

A retired U.S. Secret Service agent and retired San Mateo cop wrestled Almurisi to the ground, and a flight attendant slapped on plastic handcuffs. The man is not known to have terrorist ties.
