Mexico Arrests Suspect In Border Agent's Slaying

Marcos Manuel Rodriguez Perez, a 26-year-old nicknamed "El Virus," was picked up in the eastern section of Tijuana. Two other suspects were involved in the attempt to steal night vision gear from the agent.

Mexican authorities have arrested a suspect in the July 2009 slaying of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas while he was on patrol in a remote area east of San Diego, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Marcos Manuel Rodriguez Perez, a 26-year-old nicknamed "El Virus," was picked up in the eastern section of Tijuana. Two other suspects were involved in the attempt to steal night vision gear from the agent.

Perez allegedly shot Agent Rosas, a 30-year-old father of two, multiple times when he put up a struggle.
