North Miami Beach Police Shoot Man who Appeared To Carry Rifle
North Miami Beach officers encountered the man near Northeast 155th Terrace and 14th Avenue. They had gone there in response to calls from people saying a man was walking around with a rifle.
Police shot and killed a man they believed to be carrying a gun Wednesday evening through a residential neighborhood in North Miami Beach.
Officers encountered the man near Northeast 155th Terrace and 14th Avenue. They had gone there, shortly after 5:15 p.m., in response to calls from people saying a man was walking around with a rifle, said North Miami Beach police spokeswoman Maj. Kathy Katerman. The gun recovered from the scene appears to be a BB gun.
