An English police officer who was knocked into the air after a car thief struck his vehicle chased down and arrested the suspect following the high-speed pursuit.
The dramatic cruiser-cam footage was released, as Lee Adamson, 29, was sentenced on July 29 after pleading guilty to charges of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop, driving without insurance and resisting a police officer.
PC Dan Pasco, a patrolman in Guildford, Surrey, was struck by the BMW driven by Adamson after a high-speed chase at the St Peter's Way roundabout at junction 11. Pasco had exited his vehicle, when his partner's cruiser cam captured him being struck by the BMW.
After being knocked on his back, Pasco leapt up onto his feet and chased down Adamson on foot. The officer used a TASER on Adamson during the arrest.
