A middle-aged man can be seen punching and tackling a Baltimore Police officer, while the officer was arresting a suspect, in a video that has gone viral.
In the incident, which occurred on New Year's Eve, a man identified as 40-year-old Manuel Imel approaches two officers during an arrest. The officers are handcuffing a man who's laying on his stomach.
A crowd had formed around them, and people appear to be upset with the actions of the officers prior to the recording, reports the Baltimore Sun.
A man police say is Imel then comes from behind the officers, punches an officer, and tackles him. The assault allows the man being detained to run away. A third officer arrives, and the officers struggle with the Imel, punching and kicking him in an attempt to subdue him.
