Detroit Red Wings Announce Law Enforcement Appreciation Night
The 11-time Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings will host a second annual law enforcement appreciation night when they take on the Colorado Avalanche, on Nov. 8 at Joe Louis Arena.
The 11-time Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings will host a second annual law enforcement appreciation night when they take on the Colorado Avalanche, on Nov. 8 at Joe Louis Arena.
The evening will honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers and their families, and will help to raise awareness and funds for the forthcoming National Law Enforcement Museum, which currently under construction in Washington, D.C., according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF).
"We are proud to partner with the Detroit Red Wings," said Craig W. Floyd, the fund's chairman and chief executive. "Coming together for food, fun, and world-class hockey while honoring our nation's law enforcement officers, is a sure to be a great evening for all, as well as a great way to raise awareness and funds for the Museum."
The Red Wings are offering a Law Enforcement Appreciation Night package for law enforcement officers, their families, and supporters. The package includes a ticket to the game and a commemorative Red Wings Law Enforcement T-shirt for $35. The Red Wings will donate $10 from each ticket sold to the fund to support the museum. Ticket packages can be purchased via the Detroit Red Wings Website or the NLEOMF Website.
