Last week, police arrested 13 Exeter Union High School students, aged 15 to 19, on drug-related charges. The arrests were the result of an undercover operation at the California school.
For eight months, a 22-year-old police officer posed as a student at the school, reports the Los Angeles Times. The officer, who went by the pseudonym Johnny Ramirez, was taken out of the police academy specifically for the investigation because of his youthful looks.
Only three school officials, two police officers and City Manager Randy Groom knew about the operation.
