A photographer and reporter were detained by Chicago police on Saturday as they tried to cover the shooting death of a 6-year-old girl. She was being treated at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Hospital security officers called police, saying the members of the media tried to trespass into a secure area of the hospital, reports NBC Chicago. The news crew claimed that they didn't go into the facility. At the time of their arrest, they were standing on the median of a public sidewalk.
Both were released and not charged with any crime.
