Video: Mass. Officer Saves Man Who Drove Into River
A Rehoboth, Mass., police officer waded into a frigid river on Sunday to help rescue a man who had driven his vehicle into the water.
While patrolling the area, Officer Bree Krasnianski spotted the half-submerged vehicle. With the help of a bystander, the officer waded into the river and helped secure a rope to the driver, so arriving rescue personnel could pull him from the sedan.
"I took off my gun belt and my vest, got down to my long Johns, took off my shoes and thankfully my mother taught me how to swim so I waded out to the vehicle," Officer Krasnianski told WHDH.
