After a brief standoff, Midwest City (Okla.) Police officers arrested a man who fatally shot a probation officer at a residence.
Officers took Lester Kinchion, 21, into custody on Friday. Kinchion faces a murder charge for allegedly shooting 32-year-old Jeffrey McCoy, a probation and parole officer with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. McCoy was shot while visiting an individual under pre-release supervision at a home in the 1400 block of Maple Drive.
Kinchion was not the man McCoy was visiting, reports The Oklahoman.
