VIDEO: Philly Cop Slapped at Oktoberfest
Video of a Philadelphia Police officer's rough arrest of a man who slapped him has gone viral, after other patrons of an Oktoberfest street party posted it to YouTube.
The incident began when Officer William Gress approached John Scrivano at the block party on Sept. 29. Scrivano was highly intoxicated and was apparently causing a disturbance, reports Philly.com.
Officer Gress is seen putting his hand on Scrivano's chest. Scrivano then slaps the officer on the cheek. Officer Gress grabs Scrivano and the two men fall to the ground, as the officer strikes him with his baton.
At least one passerby can be seen clapping as the officer strikes Scrivano.
