Ala. Campus Cop Shoots, Kills Student In 'Fighting Stance'
A muscular, naked 18-year-old student was shot by a University of South Alabama Police officer early Saturday morning after the student "repeatedly rushed toward the officer and challenged the officer in a fighting stance," according to a statement from the agency.

The student has been identified as Gilbert Thomas Collar. The officer has not been identified and has been placed on administrative leave, reports AL.com.
At 1:23 a.m. Saturday, University of South Alabama Police responded to a loud banging noise on the west side window of the police station. When an officer exited the station to investigate, he was confronted by a muscular, nude man who was acting erratically, according to the agency.
The man, later identified as Collar, repeatedly rushed and verbally challenged an officer in a fighting stance. The officer drew his weapon and ordered Collar to stop. The officer retreated numerous times in an attempt to calm the situation, but Collar continued to press toward the officer in a threatening manner.
Collar continued to rush toward the officer in a threatening manner and ignored the officer's repeated commands to stop. The officer then fired one shot, striking Collar in the chest. Collar fell to the ground, but got up once more and continued to challenge the officer before he collapsed and died.
