Video: Texas Cop Saves Woman from Drunk's Crash
A Lubbock (Texas) Police officer grabbed a woman and pulled her to safety after a drunk driver barreled his van into a cruiser during a traffic stop, narrowly missing a second officer.
A Lubbock (Texas) Police officer grabbed a woman and pulled her to safety after a drunk driver barreled his van into a cruiser during a traffic stop, narrowly missing a second officer.
In dash-cam video, Officer Philip Standefer can be seen standing in the median talking to the female driver of a silver vehicle. A second officer stands at the rear of the vehicle.
Flashlights appear in nearby lanes and a speeding van heads toward the officers. Officer Standefer pulls the woman to safety, as the van crashes into a cruiser, sending the police car careening into the second cruiser.
Peter Kelt, 23, was driving the van, reports NBC News.
