The Chicago Police Department arrested one of its officers today for allegedly taking a bribe in exchange for dismissing a criminal case, the agency announced.

The Chicago Police Department arrested one of its officers today for allegedly taking a bribe in exchange for dismissing a criminal case, the agency announced Tuesday.

The officer, who was not immediately identified, works in the Southwest Side's 10th District.
