A mother said she was outraged when a Philadelphia Police officer gave her a $50 ticket and parenting lecture after her 2-year-old son urinated in public.

Carolina Robboy was shopping with her two children on Sunday, when son Nathaniel told her he needed to go to the bathroom. The boy then ran to a traffic light pole and took matters into his own hands.

The officer wrote on the $50 ticket that Robboy told her son to go in the street and never acknowledged it was an accident.

"He said, 'I'm doing this for your own protection because God forbid there might have been a pervert out there looking at my son,'" Robboy told NBC 10.
