A California Highway Patrol officer remained in critical condition Wednesday, a day after he was shot by a subject during a traffic stop in the East Bay near Alamo.
Officer Kenyon Youngstrom pulled over Christopher Boone Lacy, 38, on Interstate Highway 680 at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Lacy was driving a green Jeep Wrangler with an obstructed license plate. The officer's partner pulled up as the officer and the Jeep came to a stop.
