The attorney representing the family of a man who was fatally shot by Lake County (Fla.) Sheriff's deputies after he pointed a gun at them said the shooting will cost county taxpayers millions.
In announcing a wrongful death lawsuit, attorney Mark NeJame criticized the "arrogant action" of deputies who fatally shot Andrew Scott after he pointed a gun at them while answering the door of his apartment at 1:30 a.m. on July 15, reports WFTV.
Deputies were searching for Scott's neighbor in connection with an attempted murder.
