A Portland Police Bureau officer stopped a high-speed pursuit by deploying spike strips and narrowly dodging the suspect's oncoming vehicle.
Richard Millican, 35, was arrested after he crashed a 2000 Cadillac DeVille into a small tree and van in a residential yard. Police pursued the speeding DeVille at 1:22 a.m. on Nov. 30. Millican also ran a stop sign, reports the Oregonian.
Dash-cam footage shows the officer tossing the spike strips and narrowly escaping the vehicle, reports KATU.
Police recovered methamphetamines from the vehicle.
