North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers stopped a 12-year-old girl who had led officers on a pursuit on Monday that began in South Carolina.

The girl allegedly stole her father's pick-up truck in Gaffney. At about 10:45 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police spotted the truck and called state troopers for assistance, reports the Charlotte Observer.

The girl led officers north on Interstate 77. Surveillance cameras captured part of the pursuit, which reached speeds of more than 70 mph, reports WSOC. Troopers were able to surround the truck and force her off the road near Interstate 85.
