Beaverton (Ore.) Police arrested an 18-year-old who grabbed a gun from an officer while high on mushrooms during a physical confrontation in the lobby of city hall.
Jared Steven Leone walked into the lobby on Friday evening and told a police record's clerk he was overdosing on drugs and needed help, reports KATU.
After three officers arrived in the lobby, Leone threw a punch at one. Two of the officers then grappled with Leone for almost six minutes, before getting him into handcuffs. During the struggle, which was captured on city surveillance cameras, Leone grabbed the gun of one of the officers, pulled it out of the holster, and fired a shot. The round hit a wall with an empty room on the other side.
The officers later told investigators that Leone exhibited "superhuman strength."
