A Monroe County Sheriff's deputy likely saved the life of an endangered deer in the Florida Keys late Saturday, when he removed a Doritos bag stuck on its head.

Deputy Joshua Gordon noticed the Key deer with a Doritos Dinamita Chile Limon bag stuck on its head while on patrol on Big Pine Key. The deer allowed the deputy to slowly remove the bag.

The agency posted an update on its Facebook page Sunday, reporting that the deer is "breathing, eating, and drinking better today."
