VIDEO: CHP's Pursuit of Defiant Motorcyclist
California Highway Patrol officers took a Southern California motorcycle scofflaw into custody Wednesday, after he rode into a construction site and fell off his cycle following a high-speed pursuit.
The pursuit of the orange motorcycle began around 3:30 p.m. on the westbound 210 Freeway in San Bernardino, when the speeding suspect refused to pull over. During a pursuit that reached speeds of 85 mph and unfolded on live television, the suspect was seen punching vehicles, standing on the cycle, and flipping the middle finger at pursuing officers.
While traveling along the 170 Freeway, the suspect entered a construction site for freeway transition ramp. The cycle fell in the dirt and he dropped onto his face.
Two CHP officers approached the suspect with weapons drawn and took him into custody.
