A food-service employee who threatened two Loudoun County (Va.) Sheriff's deputies with a knife was shot and killed at a Costco warehouse store Wednesday.
The incident began when 38-year-old Mhai Scott began threatening store employees. Scott was a contracted worker serving pizza samples.
Deputies responded to the store and observed Scott wielding a knife and pair of scissors. One deputy deployed a TASER to stun Scott, who then threatened the deputy with a knife, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.
The second deputy then fired several shots, killing Scott. One of the rounds ricocheted and hit a deputy, who has since been treated and released, reports WUSA.
