A Boston FBI agent shot and killed a man suspected of a triple homicide on Wednesday who had ties to one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.
Ibragim Todashev, 27, reportedly "just went crazy" during questioning at an Orlando apartment and attacked the FBI agent with an edged weapon. The agent was wounded but returned fire, shooting Todashev in the head, reports ABC News.
The FBI agent, two Massachusetts troopers, and other law enforcement personnel were interviewing Todashev, when the violent confrontation took place, reports the Orlando Sentinel. The agent sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to an FBI release.
Authorities believe Todashev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev murdered three men on Sept. 11, 2011 in Boston by slitting their throats and sprinkling marijuana on their bodies, reports the Sentinel.
Todashev, who lives in Kissimmee, was reportedly staying at his girlfriend's Orlando apartment, when authorities caught up with him Wednesday. He had been cooperating with the ongoing homicide investigation.
