Off-Duty Calif. Officer Shot With Own Gun

A driver remained at large after a confrontation with an off-duty La Habra (Calif.) Police officer where the man shot the officer in the arm with his own gun.

A confrontation between the two men happened on an off ramp of the Golden State (5) Freeway in Castaic before dawn on Saturday, reports NBC Los Angeles .

The officer was taken to the hospital and is expected to fully recover. The officer's gun has not been recovered.
