Detroit Officer Collapses at Motorcycle Competition

Officer Rodney Jones, 49, had just celebrated 28 years serving the department. Jones was also an executive board member of the Detroit Police Officers Association, which posted an announcement on their website.

"We offer our deepest and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rodney," according to the statement. "Rodney, thank you for your service to the community and your country."
