Dallas Chief Bolsters Detective Ranks to Combat Robberies

To confront a recent rise in robberies, Dallas Police Chief David Brown has turned away sharply from last year’s decision to radically reduce the number of robbery detectives, according to the Dallas Morning Herald.

Last week, department brass announced plans to add as many as 10 detectives to the robbery unit. Five detectives are also being added to the family violence unit.
