Video: Cell Phone Video Captures California Police Shooting
Long Beach (Calif.) Police engaged in a foot pursuit of a suspect which ended when police shot and killed the suspect. The suspect was alleged to have been carrying garden shears and a stick.

NBC Los Angeles is reporting on a police shooting in Long Beach Sunday that resulted in the death of a suspect wanted for crimes in a Compton Target store.
After a brief standoff with Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies, the suspect fled from a car, allegedly carrying a large wooden stick.
The incident started in a Compton Target store. As deputies assisted security officers, the man "pulled out a large pair of scissors" - apparently garden shears - from his waistband, then fled to an SUV and drove away from the area with authorities in pursuit, the Sheriff's Office press release said.
The SUV came to a stop in the 1800 block of East Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, where deputies said the man refused to come out of the vehicle.
About 15 minutes later, the man got out of the SUV allegedly holding a large wooden stick. As he fled with the stick, Long Beach Police engaged the suspect, shooting and killing him.
