Chief Tom Jackson of the Ferguson (Mo.) Police Department held a news conference this morning to release additional details about the officer-involved shooting that killed an unarmed 18-year-old man and triggered nearly a week of unrest in the St. Louis suburb.
Brown was killed Saturday Aug. 9 by Officer Darren Wilson. He has worked six years for the Ferguson PD and has never been the subject of disciplinary action.
The chief also released documents that reveal Brown was a suspect in a strong-arm robbery of a conveience store. That robbery occurred Saturday afternoon shortly before the OIS.
