Video: Motor Officer Captures Carjacking Suspect, Ends Colorado Crime Spree
Officers were responding to a carjacking when the suspects got out of the stolen truck and fled with weapons south of Lookout Mountain.

A wild crime spree that included three carjackings ended in Jefferson County, Colo., Wednesday afternoon after an armed man and a female accomplice were arrested on Interstate 70.
Officers were responding to a carjacking when the suspects got out of the stolen truck and fled with weapons south of Lookout Mountain, CBS Denver reports.
At one point, the two suspects separated. The man looked for a way to escape pursuing officers. The female was taken into custody.
The man stole an SUV from a home, driving through the closed garage door. Minutes later he drove it off the road, jumped out of the SUV and ran to the interstate armed with what appeared to be an AK-style rifle. He then tried to get drivers on I-70 to pull over while pointing the rifle at vehicles, but none of them stopped.
A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy on a motorcycle was on scene and drew his weapon. He persuaded the suspect to lay down his rifle and then chased the suspect, bringing him to the ground in the middle of the interstate.
