The neighbor of a Montgomery County, Pa., police officer is under arrest, charged with setting the officer's home on fire while he and his family were away on vacation, reports WPVI-TV.

52-year-old Donna M. Krupp is charged with arson, recklessly endangering another person, risking a catastrophe, and possession of an instrument of crime.

Detective Ernie Morris of the Limerick Township (Pa.) Police Department cut his vacation short and rushed home to find his house a total loss. He and his family had been on what was supposed to be a two week vacation to Disney World. They got a call around 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning notifying them that their house was on fire.

Morris had recently installed surveillance cameras at his home. And authorities say physical and video evidence from the scene confirmed both that the fire was intentionally set and that Krupp was responsible. She was arraigned Friday and is now being held on $1,000,000 bail.

Authorities believe the motive to be prior arrests involving the suspect's son.
