Montgomery (Ala.) PD Officer David Lee Colley, 24, was killed in a car crash involving an 18-wheeler on Saturday in south Montgomery while responding to a call.

Montgomery Police Chief Ernest Finley said Colley was responding to a call at the time of the crash, shortly after 6 a.m. Colley was transported to Baptist Medical Center South where he died a short time later.
Video and pictures from the scene show the 18-wheeler collided with the driver's side of Colley's patrol car, but officials haven't said exactly how the accident happened. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
Colley had been on the force two years and leaves behind a wife and a 1-year-old child.
