Two children were killed Wednesday evening when they were hit by a car that was involved in a chase with Detroit police on the city's east side.
Family told WXYZ TV 3-year-old Makiah Jackson and 6-year-old Michelangelo Jackson died from their injuries. Four other children were injured.
The victims were hit near Frankfort and Nottingham. Sources say the Camaro that was involved in the chase was stolen.
Officers first spotted the suspects with a gun at around 8 p.m. They took off and officers gave chase. The driver of the Camaro lost control, went up on the sidewalk and hit the two groups of kids before hitting a house.
Police say the chase lasted about 75 seconds, and the suspect's car reached speeds of 80 mph.
