Woman Does Very Unusual Thing at End of Gunfight Between Wisconsin Officer and Carjacking Suspect
A criminal complaint filed in this case indicates Wise, who was suspected of carjacking a Porsche during a test drive, fired 13 shots at Officer Eric Guse from an AR-15 variant rifle, and the officer fired 15 rounds from his service pistol.

Dashcam video from a Glendale, Wis., offficer's patrol car shows an Aug. 1 vehicle pursuit, foot chase, and shootout between the officer and Deandre Wise, 28. It also shows a young woman take cover when the shooting starts and leave cover once the bullets stopped flying to pick up the officer's smartphone and leave.

The officer suffered an injury to his forehead — with debris and/or shrapnel causing him to bleed, the complaint says. Wise was taken to the hospital for a single gunshot wound to his thigh.
Officer Guse is recovering from this incident, Fox 6 TV reports.
Police say they're not interested in punishing the woman who picked up the phone. They simply want Officer Guse's phone back.
As for Deandre Wise, a judge ordered a competency evaluation for him on August 7. The doctor's report is due back on September 2.
