A Sumter County, SC, Sheriff's deputy was the first responder to a wreck that killed his wife Wednesday morning.
Teresa Browder, 45, was killed and several others were injured in the three-car accident just off Highway 15 around 9 a.m.

A Sumter County, SC, Sheriff's deputy was the first responder to a wreck that killed his wife Wednesday morning.
Teresa Browder, 45, was killed and several others were injured in the three-car accident just off Highway 15 around 9 a.m.
Browder was a nurse at Clarendon Memorial Hospital and was headed to work. She was also the wife of Sumter County Sheriff's deputy Wayne Browder, who was the first responder to the scene, WLTX TV reports.
"Today was a tragic day for one of our officers, as well as our entire agency, as one of our family members deal with the loss of a loved one," said Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis in a statement. "We ask that you keep the Browder family in your thoughts and prayers as they cope with this terrible loss."
