Streamlight Introduces Stylus Pro USB UV

The new light also includes a USB port that allows for on-the-go charging.
"The Stylus Pro USB UV gives professionals a real edge with its ultraviolet feature," said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. "Professionals from auto repair and industrial technicians to law enforcement investigators can rely on its UV light to spot otherwise undetectable engine and HVAC leaks, conduct forensic examinations, or detect fraudulent documents. An important added benefit is that this compact light is also USB-rechargeable."
The new model features a 400nm ultraviolet LED with a measured system output of 325 mW and a runtime of 2.5 hours. A purple, water-resistant sliding metal sleeve, which protects the USB port, differentiates the light from the regular Stylus Pro USB model.
Highly durable and abrasion-resistant, the Stylus Pro USB UV features a machined aluminum housing with a Type II MIL-Spec anodized finish. The light also includes a convenient tail cap switch for momentary or constant operation.
The Stylus Pro USB UV uses a lithium ion cell pack that is rechargeable up to 300 times. The battery recharges in the product in 2.5 hours, with an indicator LED that displays red while charging and green when charged. An optional AC wall adapter also is available.
Measuring only 6.15 inches in length, the Stylus Pro USB UV weighs 1.9 ounces. IPX4-rated for water-resistant operation, the light is also is impact-resistance tested to one meter. Available in black, it comes packaged with a removable pocket clip and holster.
Depending on the configuration, the MSRP of the Stylus Pro USB UV ranges from $88.80 to $109.00 and includes Streamlight's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
