Carjacking Suspect Attempts to Jump in Police Cruiser After High-Speed Chase
A suspected carjacker was arrested in Canoga Park, CA, Sunday after leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit and apparently trying to steal a police vehicle at the end of the chase.

A suspected carjacker was arrested in Canoga Park, CA, Sunday after leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit and apparently trying to steal a police vehicle at the end of the chase, reports Fox 11 Los Angeles.
Shortly after 6 p.m., the unidentified female strong-armed a woman in Van Nuys and stole her vehicle, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Emerich.
The suspect drove off in the stolen vehicle. The suspect led police on a chase to Simi Valley, but eventually returned eastbound, he said.
The chase ended when a pursuing police vehicle performed a pit maneuver to force the suspect to stop. The driver got out of the vehicle and appeared to be surrendering, but then tried to get into the driver's side of one of the police vehicles, Emerich said.
Officers were able to tackle her and take her into custody, he said.
