An Orange County, FL, deputy deliberately run over by a teen is now home nursing some pretty bad injuries, reports WOFL.
Sgt. Marcy Pearce had to get four stitches in her head and also has a broken foot. Police are still searching for 15-year-old Jancarlos Ortiz.
According to police, Sgt. Pearce was trying to arrest Ortiz Friday morning on burglary charges in Orlando when investigators say the teen stepped on the gas and headed straight for her. According to police, Pearce landed on the hood of his car as Ortiz took off.
According to police, Ortiz will face charges of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer once he is caught.
