VIDEO: Man Wanted for Killing Texas K-9 Captured Near Dallas
A five-day manhunt for a suspect in the killing of a Texas constable's K-9 ended Saturday with the man's capture in the Dallas suburb of Garland.
Michael Paul Koch of Grand Saline was arrested on warrants of interfering with a police service animal through killing and evading arrest, the Smith County Sheriff's Office told the Associated Press.
The case involves Tuesday's slaying of a K-9 named Ogar after a constable stopped a vehicle near Lindale, 80 miles southeast of Dallas. Investigators say Koch was in the vehicle and ran into some woods. Ogar followed and was shot to death.
