An Ocoee, FL, police officer collided with a woman’s vehicle while chasing two armed robbery suspects last week, and has now been ticketed by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The officer reportedly ran a red light at an intersection while traveling 90 mph last Thursday with lights and sirens on while chasing two armed suspects, reports WESH .
The officer crashed into a vehicle that had the green light. The driver of the vehicle, Yahaira Castro Montalvo, 26, suffered two broken arms and plans to file a lawsuit, she said at a news conference on Wednesday, reports the Orlando Sentinel .
Ocoee police say the officer suffered multiple broken bones and remains hospitalized, reports the Associated Press .
