Green Bay Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy and the Packers organization announced today they have partnered to each make a $100,000 donation to the Green Bay Police Foundation.
The donations are matching grants, requiring the Green Bay Police Foundation to raise an additional $200,000 in order to secure the donations from McCarthy and the Packers Corporation.
The Green Bay Police Foundation, founded in June of this year, is a non-profit organization that promotes excellence in area police departments and helps to improve public safety and partnerships in the community.
The donations from McCarthy and the Packers will be directed to support the Foundation’s efforts to build and enhance relationships between the police and the community, Packers.com reports.
