The Arizona Cardinals football team took a few moments Friday night to remember fallen Phoenix police Officer David Glasser before the team's first preseason game, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, reports the Arizona Republic.
Glasser, 35, was killed in a May 18 gun battle with a burglary suspect in the Phoenix village of Laveen.
In honor of Glasser, who was a Cardinals superfan and frequent tailgater, the franchise had Glasser's widow and members of the Phoenix Police Department participate in a game-day tradition by sounding the "Big Red" air raid siren.
