During Monday night's city council meeting, protesters packed into the city's government center and asked Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney to resign.
Protesters told NBC Charlotte that they're very unhappy with how Mayor Jennifer Roberts and CMPD Chief Kerr Putney have handled both the investigation of Keith Lamont Scott's fatal police shooting as well as the subsequent protesting.
During the meeting police accountability and training were questioned. Others demanded an independent investigation into Keith Scott's killing.
Meeting-goers said the protests will continue until change is seen.
The Mayor says she has spoke with the Department of Justice to monitor the investigation.
