VIDEO: Michigan Officer Falls Asleep at Wheel, Crashes into House
A Lake Orion, MI, police officer crashed into the side of a home after falling asleep while driving early Saturday morning, police said.
Police said the 24-year veteran officer was traveling east on East Flint Street when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the side of a home. The officer checked on the residents inside the home, who were uninjured.
The officer involved was treated for minor injuries at the scene, ClickOnDetroit reports.
