Capitol Police Officer Injured During the Baseball Practice Shooting Throws Out First Pitch at Congressional Baseball Game

David Bailey, one of the two Capitol Police officers on Rep. Steve Scalise's security detail who have been credited with saving his life, threw out the first pitch at Thursday's Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park.

David Bailey, one of the two Capitol Police officers on Rep. Steve Scalise's security detail who have been credited with saving his life during the Alexandria baseball practice shooting, threw out the first pitch at Thursday's Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park.

Bailey injured his ankle during the shooting, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Crystal Griner, the other Capitol Police officer who was injured during the shooting, was shot and has not yet been released from the hospital.
