The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund will be hosting the Run for the Badge 5K, taking place at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 14, 2017, on-site in Washington DC, and virtually from across the country. This fun, community-oriented athletic event is designed to raise awareness and honor the men and women who serve in law enforcement while generating funds in support of the Memorial Fund. The run/walk will start and end at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, on F Street, NW, between 4th and 5th streets.

"The Run for the Badge continues to be a meaningful celebration of law enforcement year after year," said Craig W. Floyd, President & CEO of the Memorial Fund. "We're grateful for all of our participants, those who come to run on site and those who run in their cities around the country, who share a common goal."

The Run for the Badge benefits the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which works to tell the story of American law enforcement and make it safer for those who serve. The National Law Enforcement Museum is currently under construction across the street from the Memorial. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to see construction progress from the 5K course.
