Leveraging over 40 years of experience in ultimate protective travel solutions, Pelican Products Inc. has announced Pelican Mobile Protect, a new line of lightweight backpacks and duffel bags.

Offering premium protection coupled with lightweight mobility, the Pelican Mobile Protect collection is imbued with legendary Pelican toughness to defend gear on all life's adventures from the ordinary to the extraordinary. "Our goal is to get you and your gear to its destination in one piece," said Bob Shortt, President of Pelican's Consumer Division. "This line of new backpacks and duffel bags have unique features that live up to Pelican's reputation as the leading manufacturer of durable protective gear."

The backpacks and duffel bags are water resistant with a highly durable DWR-coated 1,000D nylon outer shell and water resistant, durable PU-coated YKK zippers on the pockets. The added security of the distinctive loop and lock zipper pull system is featured on the dedicated, protective laptop and media pockets. The gusseted side pockets have stretch to allow storage for water bottles or small gear, plus a hidden carabiner loop. Custom molded ballistic nylon-coated EVA zones offer added impact protection against drops.

Other key features and benefits include:

  • Large main compartment with dedicated laptop sleeve or protective laptop pocket inside the main compartment

  • Media pockets with fleece lining for gadgets and opticals

  • Adjustable sternum strap for added support

  • Compression molded EVA shoulder straps and one-piece back panel for superior comfort
