A Birmingham, AL, officer was shot in the line of duty just before midnight Thursday. The officer was sitting in a police cruiser while he was working a tip about a potential drug house.
An unknown suspect reportedly walked up to the cruiser and fire a shot in the cruiser. Police were able to locate the getaway car, but the suspects were not inside the vehicle.
