A newly trained Antrim County (MI) Sheriff's K-9 was killed last Friday when he was struck by a car.
Ori, a 16-month-old German shepherd, was killed during a training exercise in Kalkaska County. His handler was practicing off-lead obedience with the dog when Ori was struck by a car.
Antrim County was given a $17,250 donation in August to establish a K-9 program for the county and partnered with Mid-Michigan Kennels for Ori’s purchase in Europe, the Record-Eagle reports.
